Mission

SEE SCHEDULE O.FORMED IN 2001, THE COALITION OF COMMUNITIES OF COLOR ("CCC") IS AN ALLIANCE OF CULTURALLY-SPECIFIC, COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS WITH REPRESENTATION FROM AFRICAN, AFRICAN AMERICAN, ASIAN, LATINO, NATIVE AMERICAN, PACIFIC ISLANDER, AND SLAVIC COMMUNITIES OF COLOR. CCC SUPPORTS A COLLECTIVE RACIAL JUSTICE EFFORT TO IMPROVE OUTCOMES FOR COMMUNITIES OF COLOR THROUGH POLICY ANALYSIS AND ADVOCACY, CULTURALLY-APPROPRIATE DATA AND RESEARCH, AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT WITHIN COMMUNITIES OF COLOR. ADDRESSING SOCIOECONOMIC DISPARITIES, INSTITUTIONAL RACISM AND THE INEQUITY OF SERVICES EXPERIENCED BY FAMILIES, CHILDREN, AND COMMUNITIES, CCC'S MISSION ALSO STRIVES TO ORGANIZE OREGON'S COMMUNITIES FOR COLLECTIVE ACTION, IN ORDER TO HELP THEM PROMOTE SOCIAL CHANGE TO OBTAIN SELF-DETERMINATION, WELLNESS, JUSTICE, AND PROSPERITY.
