THE TRANSGENDER LEGAL DEFENSE AND EDUCATION FUND IS COMMITTED TO ENDING DISCRIMINATION BASED ON GENDER IDENTITY AND EXPRESSION, AND TO ACHIEVING EQUALITY FOR TRANSGENDER PEOPLE THROUGH PUBLIC EDUCATION, TEST-CASE LITIGATION, DIRECT LEGAL SERVICES AND PUBLIC POLICY EFFORTS.
